Rule Expansion

Key to the West cd-rom--By Easy Eight Enterprises

In Key to the West, players embark on an exciting campaign that recreates the havok and hell of Kanpfgruppe Peiper and the bold US troops standing in its path. The vital historic locations stretching from Stavelot in the east to Habiemont and Stoumont Station in the west, are againg battlefields on you game table. Can you open the door to the Allied rear lines with determined German SS troops bent on victory? Or, can you and your outnumbered US GIs save the day and the war in Western Europe? Either way, YOU are the Battleground Commander and must act with tactical wisdom and bravery.

In Key to the West, the Germans win by capturing one of the main bridges at Habiemont or Stoumont Station. Capturing one of these will provide the bridge access that will allow Kampfgruppe Peiper to reach its objective at Huy on the Meuse River. Getting there however will be a challenge. In order to achieve victory, the Germans must first trace a path from Stavelot to either Habiemont or Stoumont Station. This will mean the Germans must capture bridges along the way over the rivers before the Meuse. Adding to this dilemma is a time element. The Germans only have a short window of time to reach and capture Habiemont or Stoumont Station. Not an easy task.

An 80 or so page print-out with dozens of beautifully rendered scenario maps. There are several new additions to the battle link troop lists as well. Some of these are new units like the Kampfgruppe X--a german spy unit dressed as US Military Police units useful in misdirecting and intelligence gathering. This cd has some interactive sound and video files included. If you've ever wanted to play a linked set of games in a campaign mode--then this is for you.
